Maron was a priest who worked at the Sanctuary of Delphi in Phokis during the 5th century BCE.

Maron was responsible for overseeing the visitors of the Pythia of the Temple of Apollo. During the Peloponnesian War, he met the Spartan misthios Kassandra, telling her to wait her turn like everyone else. The misthios however scared him into letting her in.

Some time later, much to his displeasure, Maron met Kassandra again as she came to the Sanctuary of Delphi while searching for the Pythia to question her regarding the philosopher Sokrates.
