Lucia (died 1486) was a courtesan who worked for the Assassin Teodora Contanto at La Rosa della Virtù, a brothel in Venice.[1]
One evening in 1486, she was murdered with a knife by a patron who then fled with her money. As the thief ran out of the brothel, another courtesan cried out for help, alerting Teodora and the visiting Assassins Antonio de Magianis and Ezio Auditore da Firenze. The three had been standing at the entrance, and Ezio promptly took pursuit. When it was clear to the murderer that he would not be able to outrun the young Florentine, he seized another courtesan hostage. At this moment, Ezio tested his Hidden Gun for the first time, firing it on the murderer and thereby avenging Lucia.[1]
