The Lion of Venice is a bronze sculpture of a winged lion dating back to antiquity now located in Piazza San Marco in Venice, Italy and symbolizing the city's patron, Saint Mark.
Legacy[edit | edit source]
In 2019, Abstergo Industries hacked an Animus simulation of 16th century Venice being explored by the Assassins. They caused the Lion of Venice within the simulation to animate in an attempt to stop the modern day Assassins from progressing in the simulation and discovering the fate of one of the Staves of Eden.[1]
