Learnings: The Mint of Jorvik

A group of coin dies used to strike coins / c. Viking Age

A few decades after Jorvik was conquered by the Vikings, kings and archbishops started to mint coins there. Coins were stamped with coin dies like these, some of them marked with both Christian and Pagan symbols. This suggests that the two religions were beginning to mix and merge more and more with one another.
