Learnings: The Clan

The name of an aett would often be constructed by putting together the name of a notorious forefather (sometimes even a god) with the suffix 'ing(r)', which evoked a sense of social belonging. Some clans had as many as 100 individual members on whom they could rely in times of peace or way.
