Lagertha's Axe was a battleaxe used in England during the 9th century by the shieldmaiden Lagertha, the first wife of Ragnar Lothbrok and mother to Halfdan.
During her travels, the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan acquired this Dane axe at Housesteads, Eurviscire.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
Lagertha's Axe, a weapon in Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, shares the same model as a number of other similar looking weapons, including the Spiked Axe and the Murder Axe, weapons that can be found in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey. These are recycled models of Nebuchadnezzar's Wrath, a weapon in Assassin's Creed: Origins, which itself was based on the Luristan bronze spiked axehead.
