Kitt was a musician who lived in Lunden, Mercia around 870s CE. She was a member of the band called The Gleemen, alongside Ysane and Cynewulf.
Originally a part of the church, where she learned to play the tagelharpa, Kitt decided to use her skills for coin, becoming part of The Gleemen. Tempted by gambling, at the time of the band's dissolution Kitt had debts large enough to send her into hiding, where she would don a nun's outfit and play her instrument for coin. Eivor Varinsdottir bought her debt on the condition that the band play together again, which they did.[1]
