Joseph
Joseph (c. 1555 - c. 1445 BCE), born Yossef (Hebrew: יוֹסֵף)[1] and also known as Zaphnath-Paaneah (Biblical Hebrew: צָפְנַת פַּעְנֵחַ ),[2] was the eleventh son of the Hebrew patriarch Jacob. His father gave him a Shroud of Eden,[3] later known to history as the coat of many colors.
However, seeking to rid themselves of him, his jealous brothers Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Issachar, and Zebulun collectively sold him into slavery in Egypt. Through his talent of dream interpretation, Joseph became the then-reigning pharaoh's chief minister as Vizier Zaphnath-Paaneah, forgave his brothers, invited their families to live in Egypt, and founded the Tribe of Joseph, the last of the Twelve Tribes of Israel that descended from each of his siblings.[1]
In 2012, the Assassin Clay Kaczmarek collected details on Joseph's life while Abstergo Industries held him captive at their Animus Project laboratory in Rome. He then hid the information within the Animus 1.28 in Glyph puzzles for his successor, Desmond Miles, to find.[3] Sometime in early September,[4] Desmond solved the puzzle set titled "Keep On Seeking, And You Will Find", in which Jospeh was included in a list of historic individuals who had possessed a Shroud of Eden.[3]
