Biography[edit | edit source]

Early life and career[edit | edit source]

Born on 21 January 1956 in Little Rock, Arkansas to First Presbyterian Church minister father Dr. James Stuart, Jeb grew up in North Carolina and graduated from Ashbrook High School. He later attended University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and graduated with Bacherlor's and Master's degrees, he also received a Masters of Arts in Communications from Stanford University. He formerly taught in the Writing for Stage and Screen Program at Northwestern University.[1] His first film credit was serving as the screenplay writer for Die Hard.[2]

Assassin's Creed[edit | edit source]

On 14 June 2021, Variety announced that Stuart had been enlisted to serve as writer and showrunner for a live-action Assassin's Creed television series on Netflix.[3] In February 2022, Stuart provided a disappointing update to The Playlist, noting that they had not even started the casting process, but hinted that the show would probably be shot internationally and promised the show would feature unbelievable action.[4] By 2 January 2023, he was no longer part of the project. In an interview with Collider, Jeb cited the moving of executives from London to Los Angeles as the reason, though he wished Ubisoft luck with making the series.[5]
