Jeanne Laxart

Jeanne Laxart was the wife of Durand Laxart and the stepmother of Gabriel Laxart, as well as the cousin of Jeanne d'Arc.

Biography

After Gabriel's mother became ill, she wrote a letter to Durand asking him to take in his son. Gabriel did not think his father would accept it, and even if he did, he did not know what Jeanne would think of him, though later he would remark that she was a good person who treated him well. Around the end of 1428, she bore a child.
