Il Consigliere was a sword used by the Spanish Brotherhood of Assassins in their fight against the Inquisition at the end of the Reconquista.[1]

The name of the weapon,consigliere, is Italian for 'advisor' or 'counselor' and is typically a rank in the administrative structure of the Sicilian, Italian, and American Mafias[2]
