The House of Plantagenet is a European dynasty of French origin. The Plantagenet ruled England from 1154 to 1485.
Famously, the Plantagenet contributed to the Crusades with its own army and King Richard I even served as the highest commander of the combined Crusader forces during the Third Crusade.[1]
