Hogg was an Anglo-Saxon flyter who lived in Oxeneforda during the 9th century.
In the 870s, Hogg encountered the Viking Eivor Varinsdottir during her time in Oxenefordscire and challenged her to a flyting duel, which Eivor won.[1]
