Gose

Gose is a town located in Yamato, Japan.

In 1582, the Kakushiba ikki member and shinobi Fujibayashi Naoe arrived into Gose and found a young widow praying at a Jizo statue. Meeting the young widow Mayu, Naoe offered to help her on her pilgrimage to find and honor every Jizo statue across all the provinces. After finding all of them, Naoe went back to Mayu at Gose. There, Naoe encouraged her to travel but reminded her that she was not lost before Mayu left for her journey.^[1] At some point, Naoe and fellow Kakushiba ikki member Yasuke established a kakurega near the town.^[2]
