Gaumata

Gaumata (died c. 522 BCE) was a Mede who usurped the throne of the Achaemenid Empire in the late 6th century BCE.

Around 522 BCE, Gaumata was overthrown and killed by Darius I of Persia, with aid from the Order of the Ancients.
