Gate of Tahir

The Gate of Tahir was one of the Gates of Baghdad, located in the north of Baghdad's Abbasiyah district.

Situated on the city outskirts and outside the gate was the Tomb of Zubaydah, a cemetery with a crypt in the middle housing the remains of Abbasid princess Zubaydah bint Ja'far.[1]
