The Fanged Bow was a legendary bow inspired by the venomous serpents, the likenesses of which adorned its limbs. Made of metal, with bright green inlays, the Fanged Bow was as fast and insidious as its inspiration, hissing as it let loose its deadly arrows.
History[edit | edit source]
By the time of the Peloponnesian War, the bow had been hidden in a chest at the feet of a statue of Zeus, deep within the Cave of Mt. Zas on Naxos Island. The Spartan misthios Kassandra found the bow while exploring the cave, infiltrating the secret chamber through a crack in the stone wall.[1]
