Evan Dean
Evan Dean is an employee at Abstergo Entertainment.

On 6 November 2013, Dean was involved in an email chain led by Abstergo's Chief Creative Officer Olivier Garneau regarding potential time periods for exploitation via Animus products. Unlike his colleagues, Dean cynically believed that their paying customers would not care for playing games that did not involve conflict. In a profanity-laced reply, he crudely suggested a number of violent historical periods to potentially explore, such Jack the Ripper's Whitechapel murders, the French Revolution, the American "Wild West", and the rise of Genghis Khan's empire. However, his unprofessional language prompted a terse response from Garneau to "take this offline".[1]
In June 2014, Evan left Robert Fraser a threatening note calling him a cheater at the game Pharaoh, which Fraser had introduced Evan to amonng other colleagues. However, Fraser's perceived unfair advantage from time in the Animus caused animosity to grow. On 25 June, CCO Melanie Lemay banned it and other games of chance all together.[2]
On 29 September, Melanie emailed Evan suggestions for a new line of Animus experiences, based on fringe type conspiracies. Such a subject was noted by Melanie as being right in Evan's alley. The subjects suggested to Evan by Melanie were; Hermetecists, The Lost Civilization of Lemuria, Miracles in the Bible, Planetary consciousness, and another about The Singularity. Melanie told Evan that she wanted big celebrity names to narrate these before telling Evan to "go nuts."[3]

All of the time periods Evan mentioned have been visited in later Assassin's Creed media. Jack the Ripper's murders were explored in the DLC pack of the same name for the 2016 video game Assassin's Creed: Syndicate, the French Revolution was the focus of the 2014 video game Assassin's Creed: Unity, the "Wild West" was featured in the 2015 comic series Assassin's Creed: Assassins, and the rise of the Mongol Empire briefly appeared in the second issue of the 2017 comic series Assassin's Creed: Reflections.
