Eumaios

Eumaeus, also known as Eumaios was a swineherd and a loyal friend of Odysseus, the central hero in Homer's Odyssey. After Odysseus' return to Ithaka from the Trojan War, Eumaios was the first to welcome back the hero, assisting him in slaughtering Penelope's suitors.[1] Eumaios also owned a farm north of Odysseus' palace, which the misthios Kassandra visited in 431 BCE.[2]
