Empyreal material was an energy source used by the Isu scientist Neokles to power his plant-growing device. Neokles' sample was stolen by Melitta, an Isu opposed to Neokles' attempts to meddle with the natural order. The Spartan misthios Kassandra stopped and retrieved the sample from Melitta during her time in Aletheia's simulation of Atlantis.
