Dracula's Castle

Bran Castle, also known by the moniker of Dracula's Castle, is a fortress amidst the Carpathian Mountains in Transylvania, Romania constructed in 1377.[1] In 1870, a Wallachian noble residing in the castle travelled to London, England, where he carried out a series of murders while wearing the Ring of Blood. As he returned home, he was pursued by a contingent of British Assassins who tracked him down to his castle, fought him as he arrived in his carriage, and killed him.[2]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

Though there are at least two other castles referred to as "Dracula's Castle", namely Poenari Castle and Corvin Castle, these cannot be the one that is mentioned in the memory "From Dusk Till Dawn". Corvin, while in the Transylvania region, is located away from the Carpathians and Poenari is in a different region of Romania entirely.
