Doctor (Hephaistos Islands)
The Doctor (died 420s) was a doctor working on Thasos, Hephaistos Islands in the 5th century BCE.
Biography[edit | edit source]
In the 420s BCE, the doctor was experimenting with his tonics on multiple people he called his "pets." Although his pets were strong, serious side effects occurred in his subjects, especially memory loss or a growth in aggravation. His work was noticed as he was forced by the Cult of Kosmos to continue his tonic experimentation.[1] Unknown to him, the tonic was supplemented into wine by a blackmailed Karpos as the wine was a gift to the athletes, such as Barnabas' nephew Neleus. However, the Cult wanted to drugged them into joining their army unwillingly.[2]
However, the doctor proved to be hostile against the Cult after administering more of his tonic on kidnapped athletes and thus was captured and caged in a mine near Aliki Quarry. However, he was soon saved by the Spartan misthios Kassandra, who escorted him out of his jail cell. Upon her interrogation, the doctor divulged of him being a prisoner of the Cult and told Kassandra of his captors being at Koinyra Fortress. In return of killing the captors, Kassandra asked him to make medicine to which he agreed.[1]
Death[edit | edit source]
The doctor returned to the quarry to check on his pets after Kassandra killed his captors. However, the Cult of Kosmos came and attacked him and the workers. Although Kassandra came and killed the cultists, the harm was done as the doctor was dying from his wounds. Before giving his last remarks to Kassandra, the doctor ultimately succumbed.[3]
Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
Depending on the player's choices, he either died from his injuries or was mercifully killed by Kassandra.
