Derringer Pistol

The Derringer Pistol is a palm pistol dating to the Victorian era. Its diminutive size afforded easy concealment at the cost of firepower. Even so, it was still considerably larger than some other derringer models and could chamber two cartridges.

History[edit | edit source]

In February 1868, when the Master Assassin Henry Green was spotted in Whitechapel, London by Blighters working for the Templar Rexford Kaylock, he gave the Assassins Evie and Jacob Frye each a Derringer Pistol as they left to eliminate the criminals before they could report back to their boss.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

The Derringer Pistol in Assassin's Creed: Syndicate is based on that of the Colt 2nd Model Derringer which was first produced in 1870, making this weapon slightly anachronistic as the game is set in 1868.
