Database: The Beckford Manor
Shortly after taking over the island, Peter Beckford wanted to make sure that his plantations and workers are safe and supervised. Originally he didn't plan to move and live on the island of Tortuga, but his advisor suggested the his people would work more relentlessly if his presence would be constant.
He ordered the best building materials from the land, and used a famous architect, Juliann Federo, to plan and build him a manor. The original plan included a tower from which Beckford would be able to overlook the whole island, but Juliann later decided that it would compromise the integrity of the structure. Beckford liked the idea of a tower so much that he insisted Juliann building it, even if was not attached to the manor.
The walls of the manor and those of the tower's (that was later named "The Lonely Tower") ware made using a special kind of material that made sure for them to sustain the fiercest storms of the Caribbean.
