A deeply mysterious figure, several sources place Motsognir as the first ruler of dwarves, while others go so far as to consider him the very first dwarf of Norse myth. Accordingly, locations associated with Motsognir were thought of as sacred.

While I'm unable to pin down much more than that, the name was also associated with a special type of stone coveted in Svartalfheim, called 'Motsognir's Clarity', which could apparently remove curses from certain objects. If I could get my hands on one, perhaps I could use it to definitively remove some of the bloatware on this ruddy computer.
