Greek Mercenary

A descendant of King Leonidas of Sparta, Kassandra was a Greek misthios (mercenary) who fought in the Peloponnesian War during the fifth century BCE. Born a fierce warrior, her unique lineage also allowed her to wield the broken Spear of Leonidas, a weapon of legend possessing extraordinary properties.

When Kassandra was seven, her brother was born and tragedy struck her family. A prophecy that the baby was cursed and would bring darkness to their world led to the baby being cast out of Sparta. When Kassandra tried to save her brother, she too was cast out.

Forced into a life of exile, Kassandra grew up on Kephallonia, an island of outcasts and misfits, fighting for shelter and food. Robbed of a childhood, Kassandra grew up in isolation, training to be a mercenary.

Kassandra was eventually drawn into the Peloponnesian War, selling her services to both the Athenian or Spartan sides depending on the situation and her personal beliefs or need at the time.

When she later embarked on a quest to find and reclaim her family, Kassandra crossed the path of the Cult of Kosmos, an organized secret society that sought to spread chaos in Greece to further its own mysterious agenda.
