Garmr represents the pinnacle of Hel's necromantic abilities, born of no creature leaving or dead but rather from his mistress' dark arts. In creating her closest companion, Hel extracted the essence from several prime specimens of his kin, earning him the oft-misunderstood title of "the best of the hounds". To give him life, Hel was required to sacrifice a portion of her own, which she can recall in moments of dire need. Despite his great strength, the unnatural nature of his constitution has left him somewhat vulnerable to poisons and other ailments.
