Fedor Vasilievich Tokarev (1871–1968) was a Russian weapons designer and deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the U.S.S.R. He made a long career in a Cossack regiment, as an armorer-artificer, before turning completely to weapons making. He worked on conversion of bolt-action rifles to semi-automatic on the famous Mosin-Nagant models and worked on various experiments with firearms, but is mostly famous for his self-loading pistols TT-30 and TT-33, and the self-loading rifles SVT-38 and SVT-40, extensively used by Russian forces during World War II.
