Raven Warleader

Eivor was born in 847 AD to Varin, a chieftain who paid tribute to Styrbjorn, a king in Southern Norway. Eivor was raised as a warrior, fed myths and sagas of heroism from a young age. He dedicated his life to becoming a peerless warrior and famed hero.

King Styrbjorn and his son Sigurd came to visit Varin's hall in 858. Eivor's father held a feast for the king and his son, where Eivor was introduced to them. The feast quickly turned bloody, however, when Kjotve the Cruel, a rival to Styrbjorn, launched a treacherous attack. Eivor attempted to prove his heroism by facing down Kjotve's warriors, but was stopped by his father, who died to protect him.

Adopted by Styrbjorn, Eivor grew to be a tremendously skilled fighter and brilliant strategist, eventually earning a position as berserkr to Sigurd. It was not just his skill on the battlefield that made him invaluable. Eivor was highly intelligent, a devourer of stories and knowledge. He was quite proud, however, and long resented his father for protecting him, an act of cowardice in Eivor's eyes.
