The Pirate Assassin

Edward Kenway, originally born in Swansea, Wales in 1693, would eventually become one of the most feared pirates on the Spanish Main. He would sail alongside legendary names such as Benjamin Hornigold, Edward Thatch, "Calico" Jack Rackham, and Charles Vane.

Introduced to the Assassin Brotherhood by James Kidd, AKA Mary Read, Edward Kenway aided them in their fight against the Templars and joined their cause to keep the knowledge of the Sages out of Templar hands.

Eventually pardoned for his crimes, Edward would return to England, where he would marry and start a family. During his time as a pirate, Kenway was an accomplished sailor, a deadly swordsman, and an honorable man.
