Database: Caliphate Guard

A Caliph was the civil and religious head of the Abbasid Empire in Baghdad. Like any ruler, he commanded a force who could exercise his authority and protect him from outside threats. The Caliphate Guard were the sword-arm of the Caliph and were sworn to protect his interests to the death.
