Database: Battling Boars

Boars are social animals and typically live in family groups called "sounders." Adult males, however, often live alone or in small bachelor groups, only joining up with a sounder for the purposes of breeding. During the autumn mating season, male boars will frequently fight, vying for dominance within a group. When in combat, the boars use their tusks to slash at one another's shoulders.
