The Assassins told me about the Isu, an ancient race of super-beings who lived on Earth a long time ago. It's a lot to take in. We still don't know much about them, but the remnants of their technology are often what the Assassins and Templars squabble over.
The Brotherhood still has access to a memory stream for a mercenary in Ancient Greece, named Kassandra. She encountered a digital apparition of one of these beings, named Aletheia. Aletheia used her own memories to create a series of training simulations for Kassandra to experience through a machine.
It definitely wasn't an Animus. But it kinda feels like an Animus. It also kinda feels like a Domain.
