The Dane Axe was a battleaxe named after its use by the Vikings, some of whom had Danish blood, in the 9th century CE.
The Dane Axe was made available to the Spartan misthios Kassandra via an Animus mod by Layla Hassan.[1]

The Dane Axe, a weapon available in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, shares the name of a type of battleaxe used during the Viking Age, the axe in the game is not based on any known example.
