Daeltun is a civil parish in South Yorkshire which was once a small settlement during the Anglo-Saxon period.
Occupied by the Picts in the late 9th century, the settlement was visited by the Viking Eivor Varinsdottir during her travels in Eurvicscire. After eliminating the Pictish warriors around the area, Eivor recovered a number of tungsten ingots to upgrade her gear.[1]
