The Crude Spear

The Crude Spear was, as it name suggests, a simple spear with a stone tip lashed to a wooden shaft. Though primal in its materials and construction, the spear still had its uses in the 5th century BCE Greece.

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra found this spear in the inventories of blacksmiths and looted it from bodies and chests during her travels throughout Greece.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
