Cristoforo Moro (1390 – 10 November 1471) was the 67th Doge of Venice, reigning from 1462 until his death.[1]
During his tenure as Doge, Moro presided over Venice's war with the Turks. When his son Dante lost his position as Captain of the Venetian City Guard in 1468, he disowned Dante. He died in 1471 and is buried inside the Chiesa di San Giobbe.[2]
Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
The database entry for the Chiesa di San Giobbe in Assassin's Creed II contains an anachronism. Although the entry states that Moro disowned Dante in 1468 for losing his position as Guard Captain, his son would have been eight years old according to his joint entry with Marco Barbarigo, which places his birth year at 1460, when Cristoforo would have been 70 years old.[3]
