The Crane of Oi Drues

The Crane of Oi Drues was a wooden crane within Octopus Bay in Messara, Greece. Part of the port of Heraklion, it provided a good view of the city and the Aegean Sea.

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra visited the place.

Trivia

• This viewpoint was added by the 1.1.4 patch released in February 2019, alongside 21 others.
• The name may reference the Greek word δρυς (drys) the plural of which is δρύες (drýes), and which means 'oak, timber'.
