Categorization issue

I might delete this category to rename it to something else later. The reason why this category was created is because of the technicality that most Saracens and average civilians appearing in Assassin's Creed I are actually Egyptian nationals. That is to say, they were living under a regime ruled from Egypt. Saladin's state was officially named the Sultanate of Egypt. This is aside from the fact that the concept of nationality is probably being applied retroactively here. In any case, many of these Saracen characters don't actually have real cultural ties with Egypt. Add to that the fact that there is an important need to distinguish ethnic Greek Egyptians and ethnic Egyptian Egyptians from Origins, and the unspecific Egyptian category may be a bit obsolete.

However, I am quite hesitant to delete it. I did think to myself that the Egyptian category should just concern Egyptian nationals without specification, as I am currently doing with the Chinese category rather than creating a "Chinese national" category, but I think it would be quite confusing for readers to see many characters from AC1 categorized under Egyptian. The fact of the matter is that when we say "Egyptian", we usually just mean people of Egypt proper with actual ties with its culture, even if they're more ethnically and culturally Greek but living under the Ptolemaic Egyptian regime.

I then didn't quite know which broader category to place this under because it would be confusing for readers to see both "Egyptian national" and "Egyptian" under "Individuals by nationality", so I moved this under "Individuals by culture". Nonetheless, this may not be the most accurate term either since people might argue that an ethnic Greek raised in the Ptolemaic regime is more Greek in culture than Egyptian in spite of regular exposure to the Egyptian land and Egyptian people. I'm also bothered by the lack of consistency with the "Chinese" category, and I will have to think more about this later. Sol Pacificus^(Cyfiero) 03:20, April 29, 2018 (UTC)

Just making a note here: after a discussion about this on Discord, we've decided that the unspecific "Egyptians" category will just be used for Egyptian nationals regardless of ethnicity hence this category shall be deleted as it serves no more purpose.
