- "Did you bring a canoe or do you expect your gentle breeding to keep you from the alligators?"
- ―Élise Lafleur to Aveline de Grandpré, 1766.[src]

A canoe is a lightweight, narrow boat that is pointed at both ends, open on top, and propelled by one or more seated or kneeling paddlers.
Canoes could often be found on the shores of the swampy Louisiana Bayou, providing a safe means of transportation across its alligator-infested waters. Although less common, they were also used to explore the underwater cave systems, accessed through cenotes, in Chichen Itza.[1]
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Canoes were intended to be used in Assassin's Creed III, as indicated by a publicity still of Ratonhnhaké:ton rowing one, but the feature was ultimately cut. Despite this, canoes still appear in the longhouses of Kanatahséton, though they cannot be interacted with.
