The Byzantine Greek Armor was a piece of armor that the Viking jarlskona Eivor Varinsdottir obtained at Azar's market in late 9th century Dublin, Ireland. Alongside the Byzantine Greek Armor, Eivor acquired the rest of its set from Azar's trade contracts.
During her time in Ireland, Eivor assisted Azar in constructing Dublin to be the country's trade center. In one of Azar's trade contracts, the new Byzantine emperor, Basil I, saw his rise from a peasant to the leader of the Byzantine Empire. Azar saw that as he rose in power, so did his taste. After trading 30 luxuries, Eivor built up Dublin's affluence with Basil's Constantinople and attained some trade post supplies and the Byzantine Greek Armor.[1]
