The Bone Mace was a club used in 5th century BCE. Made from the jaws of an unknown beast tied to a wooden club, the mace was as dreadful to behold as it was to wield.
During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra found this X in the inventories of blacksmiths and looted it from bodies and chests during her travels throughout Greece.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
The Bone Mace, a weapon in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, which shares the same model as the Self-Defense Mace, another weapon in the same game. These are both recycled from the Fanged Mace, a weapon in Assassin's Creed: Origins, which itself is taken from the Two-Handed Club from Far Cry Primal.
