It has happened before with other Assassin's Creed titles. What bothers me at this point is that Ubisoft hasn't really managed to take legal action against retailers that have broken release dates in precedents such as these.

If I was to make a suggestion, I'd honestly prefer the restriction last for a day or so after release, in order to allow registered users a chance to make progress with their game and have a better handle on managing the flood of new information instead of having cases where people are spoiled just from people contributing to the Wiki from the very outset.
