Okay.  I just unboxed an official, Microsoft XBox 360 Controller for Windows, and I have the exact same issue.  The menu selection is always moving up.  This, even AFTER the game updated.

Person who didn't register, also gave no details about the system he's running.  Would love to hear actual DETAILS from anyone who's had success.  So far, though, there's no chance I'll ever play past the second checkpoint (that is when I ran out of patience).  It's too bad, the game seems beautiful under 3D Vision.
