To be fair, Odyssey's cover is reversible so you can choose to have either Alexios or Kassandra on the cover, which I think is a fair compromise though it would've been nice to have a bit of artwork with both of them, to represent the dual character options. As far as canon goes, while the novelisation understandably takes a side I don't believe that future games will really come down one way or another as far as either Alexios or Kassandra being the "true" misthios, it doesn't matter a whole lot and Ubisoft are pushing the idea that whatever your playthrough happens to be is your true odyssey, so I don't think that they're keen to invalidate peoples' experiences within the game itself.
