I don't think so :/ Callum never meet his other ancestors, not even Arno(?) (In my personal opinion, he's Arno) so it can't be a "dream" or visual thought. Callum's mom interaction and Sophie's possible ancestors discard this theory. It's more than a dream. Also a dream, imaginary things or visual thoughts are considered memories inside a memory, just like Ezio's repressed Memories in Brotherhood.

Who's says they are their ancestors? Callum knew his mom and dad, so he could've imagined how an initation would've been like and what his mother would have said. Maybe he saw Sofia had some Assassin traits in her and therefore imagined her in assassin robes. As for the other assassins, he could have completely made them up or pictured them according to pictures he could've seen around the lab (possibly Arno).

The Animus shows what the subject is going through right (what he is 'seeing')? What if this was some kind of 'real time memory'? Although the event never really happened, Callum envisioned it intensily, as if it were true.

I don't know lol
