They're not gonna do the Old West. Red Dead Redemption is doing that and they've nailed it. I'm sad to say but Assassin's Creed doing the same setting just wouldn't be as good.

I want them to stay in pre-AC3 time periods for now. They've written themselves into a corner now with Origins that they can't go before that, sadly. Would've liked to see games around Xerxes, Qin Shi Huang and Alexander the Great.

Roman Empire (under Augustus, Caligula, Nero or Constantine), Byzantine Empire, Arthurian England, Holy Roman Empire under Charlemagne, vikings, Hunnic Empire, Imperial China (Three Kingdoms or Song dynasty), Feudal Japan are all settings I am eager to see.
