Yeah I get that. I don't really have a problem with their being a Trident of Eden itself, but when you create a Trident of Eden and make it's abilities the similar to the Staves can do, you might as well just make it one of the Staves. They come in different forms anyway.

Or they could have given it a unique ability like they did with the Shrouds and the Swords.
