DC and Marvel have been doing their thing for almost eighty years now. They have to reboot every so often, because otherwise their continuity would be a jumbled mess.Assassin's Creed is unlikely to have this issue, in all honesty. It doesn't need rebooting.

Also, DC and Marvel tell several concurrent stories about different people. Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, or Iron Man, Spider-Man, and Captain America. All of these characters have their own little universes, and when you add them together, the whole universe is insanely huge. That's why reboots happen, because sometimes the universe gets too complicated, and it's difficult for new stories to be made. There's no chance in hell that this will happen to Assassin's Creed.
