If they reboot the franchise, I'll be sure to stop playing the series. All the charm for me is how everything is connected; lose that, and there's no more hook for me. Where's the need for the franchise to be rebooted? There's so much stories that they can still tell. The removal of numerals in the titles and making the games more standalone are steps that have already been taken to make the series more friendly to new consumers.
